Sažetak
Greenhouse whitefly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum Westwood 1856) and tobacco whitefly (Bemisia tabaci Gennadius 1889) are two economically important pests of greenhouse tomato in Croatia. Adults and larvae damage the plants directly by sucking on the leaves. Indirect damages are caused by transmission of viruses and excretion of honeydew that is subsequently inhabited by sooty mould. In greenhouse production of tomato, whiteflies occur throughout entire vegetation. The whiteflies can be control with application of chemical insecticides, introduction of their natural enemies and implementation of different IPM measures.
