Sažetak

Fungi from the family Diaporthaceae cause necroses of the woody parts of grapevine which can result in decline or death of plant parts and eventually of whole vines. In addition to the most well-known species Diaporthe ampelina (syn. Phomopsis viticola), another 19 taxa from the family Diaporthaceae are known worldwide to be more or less pathogenic on grapevine. In year 2012 in Croatia, in addition to the species Diaporthe ampelina which has been the most prevalent, another two fungal species from this family, namely Diaporthe eres and Diaporthe foeniculacea, have been determined and shown to be pathogenic on grapevine. Consequently it can be concluded that the said species might have a significant role in the aetiology of grapevine trunk diseases.
