Sažetak
This paper is dedicated to research of different aspects of development of eGovernment mechanisms. Activities and state of play in the sphere within the European Union and the Russian Federation have been analyzed and compared by the author.
The author paid particular attention to the process of implementation of relevant EU legislation in the legal systems of EU Member States. To illustrate the process was chosen Ireland. The paper considers main Russian legal instruments for development of the eGovernment concept. The author outlines existing obstacles and proposes some ways to overcome them.
