Sažetak

It is known that histamine is capable of inducing tissue sensitization to acetylcholine. The phenomenon has been used in the poisoning of mice with Botulinus Toxin Type A. This toxin prevents the liberation of acetylcholine on motor nerve ends. It was shown that aminoguanidine - the inhibitor of diaminooxidase which destroys histamine in the periphery, significantly prolongs the life of mice poisoned with Botulinus Toxin. CuCl2 - the inhibitor of imidazol-N-methyl-transferase enzyme which destroys histamine in the central nervous system, has shown no effect.
