Dust deposit as an index of air pollution

Abstract

Comparison of the ratio of radioactive dust deposit and atmospheric dust concentrations has been made in Sarajevo and in other towns in Yugoslavia. Large differences have been found. It is concluded that dust deposit which is very often used as an index of air pollution cannot serve as a measure of atmospheric dust concentration.
