The aim of this research is to examine the sex and age differences in daily physical and sendentary activities among elementary - school children attending from 5th to 8th form. According to the aim of this research, a sample of 78 boys and 79 girls was used. The subjects evaluated their daily physical and sedentary activitiy on the Likert scale from 1 to 5. The results were obtained by using two – factor 2x4 ANOVA for independent samples and t – test for dependent samples and they show that sex and age are significant predictors of physical and sedentary activity. The results also give an additional insight into the problem of efficiency and precise specification of quantity and quality of classes of Physical Education being the only organized form of physical activity in the Republic of Croatia. In addition, the results imply the need for further scientific and professional research with the aim of searching for optional and fairly distributed conditions for the intensification of possible physical activity of the younger population.
