Sažetak

The IFLA conceptual models of bibliographic organization are in the process of consolidation at the international level. Regarding the bibliographic organization of continuing resources particularly important is the interpretation of FRBR in the FRBROO model. At the same time, there is a compelling need to introduce the ISSN number as the unique identifier of continuing resources through the harmonization of the ISSN, the ISBDs, and in accordance with the RDA (Resource Description and Access). Besides these, the PRESSOO model is also being introduced as the result of the cooperation between the ISSN International Centre (ISSN IC) and the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF). The author of the paper has conducted a survey on a sample of Croatian continuing resources published in the period from 2000 to 2011. The survey identified the entities, attributes, and their relationships according to the definitions from the IFLA studies, and possible disadvantages and advantages of the IFLA models of the bibliographic organization of continuing resources in relation to the Croatian national applicable rules, which is used in Croatian cataloging practices. Considering the results of the research, the author presents a proposition for the modeling of bibliographic organization of continuing resources. The paper compares modeling bibliographic organization of continuing resources based on the research of the Croatian corpus of continuing resources and the FRBROO and PRESOO models.
