Oral changes in occupational diseases

Sažetak

Although changes in the oral cavity in the course of occupational diseases are not decisive for the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases, the author is of the opinion that special attention should be paid to the manifestations in the oral cavity, as they are very accessible to medical inspection and their occurrence is frequent. The mouth being the main entrance into the human body for various toxic agents. He gives, therefore, a detailed review of the literature on oral manifestations of occupational origin. The number of occupational hazards in Yugoslavia has been increasing owing to the industrial development of the country. A better knowledge of the symptoms of occupational diseases will make their prevention and treatment much more efficient.
