Sažetak
With the improvement of industry of death, killing devices became more sophisticated in shape and effect. During the war operations in north-eastern region of Slavonia various weapons have been used. Among them very interesting is antipersonnel mine (tread) No 2 filled with 70 gr of pressed throtyl, with instant lighter which is activated on tread of 3 to 15 kg (»cupcake«). The minefields are one of the most widespread ways of war strategic due to shape of the landscape. During a one year time of war activities, five wounded injured by such anti-personnel mines were admitted to the hospital. In this paper our operative strategy in management of such wounds is reviewed. Two of them underwent a secondary closure of the wound with free flap. It was the first time that free microvascular flap was performed in our Hospital even in spite of the fact that the hospital was bombed heavily meanwhile.
