Sažetak

The talk of Mary certainly can not be counted on the major or main themes of Reformation. Martin Luther talks about Blessed Virgin Mary within others much more important theological themes, such as, for example, justifications. His talk of Mary must be understood in the light of his theology of the cross – theologia crucis. Although, from a Catholic point of view, he diminished the figure of Mary, yet in his speech about Mary he is very positive. For him there are unquestioning dogmas about Mary's divine motherhood and perpetual virginity. The other two - of Immaculate Conception and Assumption - because they are not affirmed in the Scriptures, leave to the free belief of every believer. Luther also allows certain Marian feasts, namely the liturgical worship of Mary, if in these celebrations the attention of the faithful is directed to Jesus Christ and if the foundation of these celebrations can be justified by the Scriptures.
