Dynamics of Distribution of the Body Mass Index of Schoolchildren in the Republic of Belarus

Sažetak
In the early 1980s, (before the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident), in the 1990s and 2000s, 8-year-old children,
13-year-old and 17-year-old teenagers were studied in cities of the Republic of Belarus as a part of anthropometric programme.
The character of distribution of the variants of body mass index (BMI) among the groups studied has been
analyzed. Changes of the specific mass of individuals with deficiency of weight and overweight over time were revealed.
Gender differences in the chronological dynamics of the morphological status formation of the children of the Republic of
Belarus were shown.
