Sažetak
The International Convention on Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Co-Operation (OPRC Convention), was adopted in November 1990 by a conference convened by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the United Nation Agency concerned with maritime safety and the prevention of pollution from ships.
To enter into force, the Convention had to be accepted by 15 states. This total was achieved on 13 May 1994 and OPRC Convention entered into force on 13 May 1995.
The article deals with the most significant provisions of the Convention. Author argues in favour of its ratification and application in Croatia.
