Sažetak
This document of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) can serve as orientation and tool for design and quality evaluation of administrative study and training programmes. There are eight standards of excellence: public service commitment, advocacy of public interest values, combining scholarship, practice and community service, central significance of the faculty, inclusiveness at the heart of the program, purposeful and responsive curriculum, adequate resources, and balancing collaboration and competition. There are two sets of criteria for measuring standards of excellence: institutional and program-oriented. Program-oriented criteria are systematised in four subcategories: program development and review, program content, program management, and program performance.
