Sažetak

The author presents a brief biography and an exhaustive bibliography of dr. Ivan Jelić and dr. Fikreta Jelić-Butić; two recognized Croat historians who recently died in a fire accident. I. Jelić's field of interest and research was the World War II. With numerous monographs and articles on the history of the communist movement, he proved to be an excellent student of the Croatian Left. F. Jelić-Butić's work focused on the taboo themes of the Ustashi, Czetniks, and the Croat Peasant Patty. With several books, she laid a solid foundation for the history of this delicate period of the Croatian history.
Associated with the Institute for the History of the Workers' Movement (presently Institute of Contemporary History), the Jelićes acquired the highest degrees of scholarly recognition. Ivan's bibliography contains 190 and that of Fikreta 37 units.
