Sažetak

It was with heavy hearts that we learned of our dear friend’s demise. He was our colleague, he possessed great knowledge in the field of dental implantology, and his passing away actually occurred en route to an implantology course in Salzburg last December. This happened to us, from Zagreb. Professor Krekeler had been our Dental school’s guest since 1997, but he was much more than that…he was a friend who gladly hosted everyone at the Albert Ludwig University Dental Clinic in Freiburg, where he had worked since 1966 up until his last day November 29th, 2007.
