Sažetak

SUMMARY: The worker sits at the computer for a long time carrying out his tasks. Sitting requires constant position changing to meet the needs of different activities done by the worker. Sitting position required for computer operation and body movements are restricted to the kinematics of arms, head and upper body. Applying an optimum connection between the human body and the computer workplace, proper work posture is effected. Thus, fatigue and bodily energy consumption are reduced to a minimum. When operating the computer, a high level of visual control is necessary, and thus visual zones can be used, when the view and eye rotation are comfortably transferred. Investigations indicate that work performance, besides functionality and safety, has a significant effect on the worker's comfort and satisfaction. Activities and body postures can follow mental and intellectual activity in a natural manner, which contributes to the worker's productivity and satisfaction to a great extent.
