Sažetak

Significant temperature changes alter the energy exchange between an animal and its environment and can lead to reproductive disorders. The rate of conception is reduced under the influence of stress caused by either cold or heat. In the estimation of the fertility of bulls, the non-return method is often used as an indirect way of determining pregnancy. A non-return method is defined as measurement of the number and percentage of breeding cows inseminated within a certain period of time. If in 60 to 90 days or with the absence of 3 to 4 expected cycles they have not “returned” to re-insemination it is supposed that they are pregnant. There was a significant difference in the influence of season and semen quality parameters. The lowest semen quality was found in the summer months, which coincides with the results of conception, which are also the worst during the summer.
