Sažetak

A sample of 128 students at the faculty of Physical Education was measured by means of 41 tests of strength. The structure of latent mechanisms for energy regulation was analyzed using the algorythm for determination of polar taxons.
12 taxonomic dimensions were isolated and interpreted in the following ways:
- first taxonomic dimensions is of unipolar type and represents the measures of relative repetitive strength;
- second taxonomic dimensions has the characteristic of explosive force, directed primarily at the efficiency;
- third taxonomic dimensions differentiates between subjects with specific ability for static exertion of one leg from those who achieve better results in measures of absolute explosive force;
- fourth taxonomic dimension behaves as a factor of static strength and also has, however weakly expressed, a characteristic of differentiation among subjects with above-average static strength and weaker explosive force from those with a weaker static and greater explosive force
- fifth taxonomic dimensions emits information on static strength of large back muscles, as well as muscular systems of the shoulder area and arms;
- sixth taxonomic dimensions defines those subjects who have god regulation of static exertion and poorer regulation of repetitive work regime, particularly of trunk and leg muscles;
- seventh taxonomic dimensions differentiates measures of explosive force (various form of dash) and measures of jumps and throws;
- eigth taxonomic dimension defines those subjects with a pronounced static strength of trunk flexors and poorer abilities in explosive force (broad jump);
- ninth taxonomic dimension probably differentiates among subjects with respect to accumulation of active muscular mass in the upper, as opposed to the lower part of body;
- tenth taxonomic dimension carries information on explosive force of the relative type;
- eleventh taxonomic dimension probably represents an artefact of criterion for factor extraction, because it is saturated with only one measuring instrument;
- twelfth taxonomic dimension is, as it seems, the measure of absolute force of the extremities.
