Factor Structure of Body Weight

Sažetak

Three factors from the correlation matrix of 14 anthropometrical variables obtained in a sample of 199 soldiers, 19 and 21 years old, were isolated by the modified multigroup method.
The first factor was interpreted as a factor of voluminosity, the second as a factor of skeleton dimensionality, and the thirdas a factor of subcutaneous fat.
The possibility of the application of these results for didactic purpose, for the purposes of rational index constructions and for the purposes of the investigations of optimal combinations of different anthropometrical factors that influence the body weight in separate sport branches is discussed.
