Sažetak
On the basis of a comprehensive archival research of the records of the
Commission for Gathering and Protection of Cultural Monuments and
Antiquities (Komisija za sakupljanje i očuvanje kulturnih spomenika i starina – KOMZA) kept in the archival holdings of the Ministry of Education
of the People’s Republic of Croatia in the Croatian State Archives and in
the Old Records Collections of the Central Archives for Cultural Heritage
of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, the author presents
the circumstances of the formation and operation of KOMZA and considers the extent of its authority and the specificity of its role.
