Sažetak

Canonical relations of a representative sample of anthropometric variables and a representative sample of intellectual abilities measures were analyzed after the effects of the subjects position in the socialization, institutional and sanction subsystem had been partialized from both samples.
The partialization of sociological characteristics has produced a significant and considerable reduction of correlation between morphological characteristics and intellectual abilities. The first canonical correlation has been reduced from .55 to .39, and the other significant canonical correlations form .36 to .33. The structure of canonical factors after the partialization of sociological characteristics sustain the hypothesis that the correlations between morphological characteristics and intellectual abilities can, first of all, be attributed to the relations between the efficiency of the parallel processor and morphological characteristics and then to the relations between morphological characteristics and then to the relations between morphological characteristics and the efficiency of the perceptive processor.
Relatively high correlations achieved in earlier researches are primarily the consequences of the influence of sociological characteristics on the development of functions of the serial processor and, at the same time, on the general factor of growth and development.
