Sažetak
1. The average number of erythrocytes in champio athletes in rest is the same as the average number of erythrocytes in healthy men of the same age.
2. The average percentage of haemoglobin is lower in champion athletes that in the healthy men of the same age.
3. Analysing blood content in athletes is necessary to use population norms.
4. If the number of erythrocytes in athletes is different from population normas, it is necessary to analyse the blood content and to star therapy.
5. Greater oxygen supply in champion athletes is enabled by more intensive blood circulation. Higher number of blood elements would increase blood viscosity and lessen the speed of blood circulation.
6. It can be concluded that the percentage of haemoglobin in athletes' blood is lower, because their blood is overcrowded with younger forms of erythrocytes which have smaller concentration of haemoglobin.
