The Influence of Personality Structure on the Degree of Sport Participation and Attitudes toward Sport in Juvenile Delinquents

II. The Latent Space Analysis
After central and dispersive parameters, distributions and intercorrelations of measurement instruments were calculated, significant principal somponents of intercorrelation matrix were determined. These components were transformed to oblimin position using direct oblimin transformation.
Factors in oblimin position were interpreted as: verbal factor, conversive syndrome, extraversion, rigidity, personality structuring, perceptive factor, sensibility, numerical factor, stenic syndrome, affectomtymity, astenic sindrome and spatial factor.
Factor scores for every subject were estimated by regression procedure.
The connection between isolated factors in oblimin position and attitudes toward sport and degree of sport participation was determined by regression procedure.
Multiple correlation coefficient for the attitudes toward sport was 0.44, and for degree of sport participation 0.41.
The greatest predictive value for the attitudes toward sport had the following factors: rigidity, personality structuring, verbal factor, conversive syndrome and extraversion, and for the degree of sport participation rigidity, personality structuring, verbal factor and extraversion.
It was concluded that the variables for estimation attitudes toward sport and the degree of sport participation are influenced by verbal factor from cognitive factors, and by rigidity, presonality structuring, conversive syndrome and extraversion from conative dimensions of juvenile delinquents and that because of symmetry of given relations it can be hypothesised that changing the degree of sport participation and influencing the attitudes toward sport can in some degree influence the cognitive and conative dimensions of juvenile delinquents.
