Sucker rod pumps are one of the most common used artificial lift methods, used for lifting the liquid from the reservoir, trough the well to the production system. This paper discusses the sucker rod method itself, its individual parts that it consists of, the way it works and the situations it is used in. Apart from that it also discusses the analysis of production systems, also known as Nodal analysis, and it weighs in on the methods of determining the bottomhole pressure in wells equipped with sucker rod pumps. The calculation of the bottomhole pressure in this paper was done with the use of the Agnew method and the Walker method.
