Sažetak
The relation is considered between the effect of genetic and environmental factors on the growth and development in different age periods. Base on the studies by Ushakov (1977) and Kulakov (1984), the following periodization of growth and development is proposed in relation to the changing role of the genotype in formation of phenotype variability. It has 5 stages;
1. primary decrease in the role of the genotype age 4-6
2. increase of the relative influence of the genotype age 7-9
3. inversion of the role of genotype age 10-12
4. complex inversion of the role of genotype age 13-18
5. secondary decrease in the role of genotype age 19-21
The author is of the opinion that there are several genetic factors limiting the functioning of physiological systems in the organisms of children and physical abilities of young sportists. According to the author, they include the individual maturation processes, the level of reactibility of individual physiological systems to environmental factors, the genetically programmed time variability of morphological maturation of individual physiological systems to environmental factors, the genetically programmed time variability of morphological maturation of individual physiological systems, the genetically controled intensity of metabolic process and genetically regulated mechanisms for preservation of functional reserves in the organism.
