Sažetak
Diagnosing the status of the preparedness of basketball players is one of the prerequisites of a successful management of their training process. Such a system is presented in this contribution dealing with the morphological, motor and playing status of young basketball players. The system is relatively simple, informative and can be-used int basketball clubs. The first part of the system encompasses a collection of data on the morphological, motor and playing status of the players at a certain phase of their training process. The second part deals with the use of a special computer programme, based on a multi-parametric decision making process, on the basis of the collected information. The third part is an analysis of the obtained data and counselling. The described diagnostic: system is shown used on two of the best guard players and centers of the Slovenian junior basketball selection.
