Sažetak
A significant and frequent disharmony between various theoretical conceptions on sports and results in practice has resulted in many studies the aim of which has been to research sports form/fitness as one of reference categories in top level sports.
Fitness has been defined in various ways by different authors yet it is an integrated structural component of general physical fitness which makes possible the highest possible level of specific working abilities of sportists an achievement of highest results in the most important intervals in annual raining cycle.
In methods of achieving sports form it is essential to understand its multi-phase character, since it has been proved that sportists are only in certain periods (not always) capable of achieving the highest results. In order to manage sports form in each of its developmental phases it is important to choose those actions from the group of possible actions which will make sure that oscillation of results happens in the expected oscillatory space.
A model type of loading in dependence of specific character of each sports discipline, and a model type of competitive loading in the structure of training microcucle ensures a psychomotor "readiness" for the actual competition. The distribution of volume of load in the phase of immediate preparation for the competition will depend on the total of previous load and the time left before the most important competition. The article, on the basis of research analysis of seasonal rhythm of best results achieved by male and female athletes of East Germany, presents if they are achieved in most important competitions are the surest confirmation of efficiency of the method for achievement of sports form/fitness.
