Sažetak
An analysis of the karate kick ushiro mawashi geri, as performed by the karatist, a world vice-champion, weighing 70 kp and being 1.80 m tall was done. The aim of the investigation was to determine the parameters and values of the speed, reactive force components and the angles of the interrelationships between individual body segments. Due to a high level of this fighter’s karate technique, the obtained values can serve as a model for the correct performance of the ushiro mawashi geri karate kick. The kinematic analysis was performed by photogrammetric acquisition with two VHS cameras operating at 60 Hz and the APAS (Ariel Performance Analysis System) movement analysis system. The components of the applied force were measured using a tensiometric platform and the signals of the kinematic and the dynamic measurements were time-coordinated and oriented in the same direction. The comparative analysis of the stated parameters shows that, from the methodological and pragmatical point of view, the splitting of the kick in the beginning and preparation phases, and the performance phase is justified. The values obtained by the kinematic analysis and the measured force components enabled a logical interpretation of the movement structure.
