Abstract

The main goal of the research was to determine the latent structure composed of 26 handball game attributes on the basis of 134 manifest indicators of the TE-TA activity in handball. The factor analysis under the component model according to the Guttman-Kaiser criterion was employed. The initial co-ordinate system was transformed by means of nonorthogonal rotation according to the oblimin criterion. Five significant latent dimensions obtained explained 85.1% of the total variance of the manifest space. However, only three latent dimensions could be interpreted well enough as: THE FACTOR OF PLAYING PERFORMANCE ON OFFENCE, THE FACTOR OF PLAYING PERFORMANCE ON DEFENCE and THE FACTOR OF THE GOALKEEPER'S PERFORMANCE. The obtained results allowed for the proposal of the latent structure model consisting of the handball technical tactical elements.
