Woman in Gender-Marked Idioms of Standard and Dialect Croatian Phraseology (On the Example of the Phraseology of the local Kajkavian dialects of Križevci and Podravina)

Sažetak

The article discusses gender-marked idioms in standard and dialect Croatian
phraseology on the example of the phraseology of the local Kajkavian dialects of
Križevci and Podravina in order to identify the main similarities and differences
between the two. All elements of their analysis are contrastive in character and
the selected corpora of standard and dialect phraseology are considered through
the prism of gender stereotypes with the aim to describe how the phraseological
image of woman is created in both the standard language and the Kajkavian
dialects.
