Sažetak
Human rights are part of every individual’s life, and their violation is the root of all problems that the modern world faces today: violence, poverty, globalization, environmental issues, economic differences, crime, conflicts, and war.
The issue of children’s rights is very controversial today. Mass media provide insight into how and to what extent the children’s rights are violated, and the importance of education.
The goal of modern pedagogy is humanistic education that rests on children’s rights, finally leading to the democratization of the society. Educators meet with great challenges when they examine their practice in the context of children’s rights. Their task is to find the
right balance between the requirements made by contemporary pedagogy, children’s needs, and their families. For a successful educational effect, it is necessary for educators to strengthen their professional, communicational and social skills, create a positive
atmosphere in kindergartens, and build partnership relations with parents.
