MATRIX CALCULATION OF TECHNICAL COEFFICIENTS IN THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA FOR THE PURPOSE OF INPUT-OUTPUT ANALYSIS BY RAS METHOD

Sažetak

Authors have presented preliminary matrix of technical coefficients for 1997, as the required cornerstone for the compilation of input-output table in the Republic of Croatia. For that purpose, so called, biproportional RAS method has been used. That method
combines the use of existing input-output table and the most recent, updated available data. Authors have identified existing limitations and obstacles in the process of compiling complete input-output table, pointing to the missing data on final uses of GDP according to
activities by origin, as the main obstacle. At the end, authors have used preliminary matrix of technical coefficients for 1997, to analyze structural changes which took place in intermediate consumption in 1987-1997, period characterized by accentuated trade liberalization and globalization processes.
