Sažetak
The article discusses Mavro Vetranović's poem Orlača riđanka rečeno u Blatu ribarom, which ih the histories of Croatian literature has regularly been described as a patriotic satire. As the poem is spoken by a prophetess, the article attempts to ascertain the origin and competence of this character. A further attempt is made to determine more precisely than has been done what satiric strategies the poem employes and what kind of effect it implies.
