Sažetak

This paper is centred on prostitution in The Middle Ages based on sources about Johannes Rykener. He was caught performing a sex act with Johannes Britby while dressed as a woman in London, at the beginning of December 1394. The literature which deals with the history of sexuality is briefly demonstrated in this paper, whose central part consists of descriptions of sources and problematics related to the theme. In conclusion, certain possibilities of further research and popularisation of this theme are presented.
