Sažetak

Theoretical development of a vertical gravity gradient has few mail stones; from Bruns gradient formula over Eötvös tensor to Marussi tensor. Knowing vertical gravity gradient is necessary for the reduction of measured values of relative gravimeter to the height of the point. Real vertical gravity gradient should be known. Criteria for planning and making measurements are analysed. Measurements for determination of vertical gravity gradients are done with two Scintrex CG-3M gravimeters of Croatian Geodetic Institute HGI-1 and HGI-2. Measurements are repeated 12 times. After elimination of reductions and drift, adjustments of vertical gravity gradient are done using least square method. Quality of obtained vertical gravity gradient is analysed. Quality considering repetitions of measurements using the same gravimeter and considering all measurements with both gravimeters is analysed.
