Speleological explorations of the significant caves in the area of the Cetina River springs in 2022 and a historical overview

The article gives a historical overview of the explorations of selected speleological objects in the area of the Cetina River springs (Rudelić Cave, Kotluša Cave, Tutić Caves and Ćulum Caves), which were explored again in 2022. The article presents the results of new surveys of the above-mentioned caves. A new topographic plan of the previously explored parts of the Rudelić Cave was made. Furthermore, divers explored and surveyed two siphons. The closer siphon connects Mala and Velika Rudelić Caves. Behind the siphon, in the farther part of the cave there are new siphons and passages that need to be further explored. Topographic plan was made for 1252 m of the previously explored passages (repeated survey) and for approximately 280 m of the new parts of Rudelić Cave. A new topographic plan of Dedin kanal passage was made in Kotluša Cave. Due to low water level, siphon at the end of Dedin kanal passage became a lake which enabled crossing it without diving. When the lake was crossed, a new, unexplored passage was discovered. 593 m of the new passage were surveyed, but the passage needs further exploration. Additionally, part of Kotluša Cave called Noćna smjena was further explored, and two leads were explored in the area around Kanalčina passage. New 220 m of passages were added to the topographic plan of Gornja Tutić Cave. The cave survey of Gornja Tutić Cave is now completed and the total length of the cave is 679 m. Topographic surveys were made for 254 m of Velika Ćulum Cave and 100 m of Mala Ćulum Cave. Prospects for further explorations are described.
