Quality Evaluation of the Alternative Realizations of the Austrian Height Reference System

Sažetak
The Austrian Height Reference System for the epoch 1875 (AVRS1875) is the first systematically defined and realized height reference system in the territory covered by today's Republic of Croatia. AVRS1875 is based on the reference frame consisting of the Austrian Precision Levelling Network (APN) and the realization of the Austrian Height Datum for the epoch 1875 (AVD1875). Using the Austrian Precision Levelling Network, and with the introduction of several alternative realizations of the Height Datum in relation to the original Height Datum AVD1875, appropriate alternative realizations of the Height Reference Systems were performed in relation to the AVRS1875 system. The analysis of the quality indicators of absolute height positioning of node benchmarks and the distribution of their height accuracy in the coverage area of these systems has been performed. The results indicate to what extent the concept of height datum realization affects the quality of absolute height positioning of the benchmarks within the height reference system coverage area.
