Dear readers,
As indicated by Sustainability Report 2023, education is one of the critical factors in developing successful sustainability initiatives. This is true for other initiatives as well, such as digitalization and so on. Therefore, Transformers Magazine pays particular consideration to such global initiatives and, in cooperation with other stakeholders, aims to create conditions and tools to contribute to key initiatives’ success.
Likewise, the focus of this special edition is sustainability, intending to preserve and propagate knowledge, solutions and crucial sustainability information presented at the Sustainability conference 2022. Transformers Magazine organized the conference in cooperation with key industry partners: leading utilities, transformer manufacturing companies and suppliers of materials and components.
One of the most significant achievements of the last Transformers Magazine conference - Sustainability 2022 - was the creation of a joint industry initiative for sustainability. The initiative is coordinated by experts in this field with the aim of navigating the industry transition in the right direction, and it will be specially presented at the next conference.
Following the successful conference, we conducted research on trends in sustainability and published the Sustainability Report 2023 with results which can help to answer questions asked by any person interested in this field, especially corporate managers, sustainability managers, innovation managers and other senior staff responsible for strategic initiatives. The report is also an excellent tool for evaluating ideas and determination of the most favourable paths in technology and business development.
Furthermore, the articles we bring here with updated information will serve as a fitting foundation for the Sustainability and Digitalization conference 2023 that will be held on 6–8 June in Dubrovnik, soon after the publication of this issue, once again to gather all key stakeholders in the industry.
At the next conference, the best solutions and practices from sustainability and digitalization domains will be presented and discussed; we will have a chance to meet key people in these areas and continue collaborating on joint initiatives. The fact that the circle of people interested in these topics has already increased is particularly pleasing. Hoping that this edition’s articles will prove helpful to you, I am sending you my best regards and looking forward to meeting you soon in Dubrovnik.
