Sažetak

Restructuring process of an economy is conditioned by number of assumptions, basic once being factors. Structural change depends on changes in physical and human capital. A special role plays conventional and technology infrastructure, and institutional conditions as well. Change of structure in conditions of integrations and globalization shouldbe seen as multidimensional phenomenon, which, from economic point of view, is characterized by new views on role of the market and competition. Changes are especially tied toliberalization (state borders) in capacity development and economies of scale, but to market conditions and supply of goods and services as well. More demanding changes shouldbe stressed, which determine long-term growth and development, e.g. education, science, research, technology and application of knowledge. European area is marked with differences regarding economic structures, assumptions and development potentials, which determine changes. Developed countries are characterized with relatively developed conventional and especially technology infrastructure, while the less developed countries have infrastructure as key development limitation, with more disproportions in technology infrastructure. This would make difficulties in creation of European economic area. It follows that succesful growth and development of the EU and European countries includes restructuring and amortization of above mentioned development limitations.
