IMPACT OF FIRM THEORIES ON CONTEMPORARY APPROACHES TO ORGANIZATION OF FIRM

Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to give answers to several questions: to which extent various firm theories influenced the appearance of contemporary approach to organization? Are various firm theories the substitutes or complements? What, along to immanent theoretical development influenced the appearance of new approaches? That also influenced the arrangement of text: first is given the review of existing theories, and then followthe stake-holder approach and the concept of virtual organization of firm. Finally are given research findings and the conclusion. The general conclusion explains correlation of different theories and rootedness of new approaches in historical theories of firms. Besides, there are also given modified historical circumstances (globalization, new technologies, uncertainty and instability of competitive environment) which also influenced the appearance of new approaches. Altogether, the paper states the increasingly stronger dominationof different capability theories (resource theories) with the emphasis on the process oflearning, adjustment and prediction of changes in environment.
