The ground state of liquid 4He in a model of semi-free gas

Abstract
The expectation value of the Hamiltonian of the system of 4He atoms is evaluated for the wave function which is the product of two-body asymptotic wave functions at small interatomic distances for each pair of particles. The corresponding integrals are performed in a similar way as in the case of hard spheres of low densities.
