Sažetak
Placing plant protection products on the market in Croatia is regulated by the Implementation of Regulation (EC) no. 1107/2009. The purpose of the regulation is to ensure a high level of protecting human and animal health, protection of the environment and at the same time guarantee the competitiveness of agricultural production. At the Centre for Plant Protection (HAPIH), evaluators analyse and evaluate documentation with the aim of determining pesticide residues in food and to harmonize the proposed application of PPP in Croatia with approved applications at the level of the European Union. Residues of active substances and/or metabolites that remain in/on treated plants, products of plant and/or animal origin can have a harmful effect on human and animal health. The aim of the evaluation in the residue area is to harmonize the application with the pesticide maximum residue levels and to carry out an dietary risk assessment for consumers.
