The research of the legal concept of an insurable interest as a legal precondition of insurance contract, and a risk and insured event as elements of an athlete accident insurance contract, pointed to certain specifics of these legal constructs that are arising from the mixed legal nature of the analysed contract as a personal and property insurance at the same time, with nevertheless emphasized elements of the contract on personal insurance.
