Sažetak
This article focuses on a very special place in the Mediterranean,
namely the monastic republic of the Mount Athos (Chalkidiki,
Greece). Specifically, in Theodor Däuber’s travel article The Holy
Mountain Athos, the human-nature relationship is examined as
close reading, and the importance of Athos in the author’s private
mythology is illuminated.
