Contribution to optimization of noise mapping procedures

Sažetak

An extensive account of noise mapping procedures is given. The European Directive on Environmental Noise, which is the basis for all new standards on noise protection in open spaces, is described in great detail. An overview of relevant Croatian regulations and influence parameters is given. The traffic noise mapping experience gained in some European cities is presented. The significance of such maps is emphasized, and the procedure for noise mapping in Croatia is proposed.
