Sažetak

In recent years, the emphasis on patient-centered care has gained signifi cant traction within the global health community. This editorial seeks to highlight the critical importance of positioning patients at the core of healthcare systems, drawing on the paradox presented by the 'Parachute Study' and other relevant literature. Our aim is to advocate for a healthcare paradigm that prioritizes patient needs, preferences, and outcomes over bureaucratic and economic constraints.
