Sažetak

The recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria caused immense suffering, leaving thousands dead, missing, or homeless, with severe psychological consequences expected, especially for children. Psychological First Aid (PFA) is a recommended early intervention to address these effects, particularly for those already exposed to trauma from war, displacement, or the COVID-19 pandemic. Training in PFA can help survivors cope and adapt, and mental health professionals are key in delivering these interventions. Governments and NGOs should invest in training and supporting practitioners to provide PFA effectively.
