Sažetak
Introduction: In the contemporary healthcare system, integrating psychological care into health practice is becoming increasingly important due to its impact on overall patient health. Psychological care, which includes emotional, mental, and social support, demonstrates significant potential in improving health outcomes and quality of life for patients.
Methods: The study was conducted by analysing relevant literature, case studies, and reviews of existing models for integrating psychological care into various aspects of health care. Sources utilized include research articles, reports, and practices from hospitals/clinics that employ a holistic approach to patient care and person-centered care.
Results: The analysis revealed that integrating psychological care into health practice enhances treatment outcomes, reduces levels of stress and anxiety in patients, and contributes to faster recovery. Specific examples include improved quality of life for patients with chronic illnesses and better management of emotional responses in oncology patients. Case studies confirm that patients receiving psychological care experience a better quality of life and faster recovery compared to those without access to such interventions. Additionally, the analysis indicated that integration can reduce medication use and the need for hospitalization.
Conclusion: Psychological care proves to be a crucial component of a holistic approach to health care. To maximize the benefits of integrating psychological care, adequate training for healthcare professionals, reduction of mental health stigma, and improved coordination between different healthcare sectors are essential. This paper emphasizes the need for further research and policy development to enable more effective integration of psychological care into everyday practice.
