The Labour law in the Light of Comparative Research on Unemployment

Sažetak
The author briefly presents the regulation of dismissals and the regulation of relations between employers and unions by the Labour law. He also presents the results of comparative research which show that the regulation on dismissals, union density and workers covered by collective contracts reduce employment and increase unemployment. In addition, the author presents the most important theoretical explanations of these facts. In the conclusion, the author states that the effect of the Labour Law in Croatia is probably a decrease in employment and an increase in unemployment.
