Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present green activities and workshops carried out in Špansko-jug Library. The library joined The Green Library for Green Zagreb project in 2021 and since then has been implementing various programs that promote environmental awareness, recycling methods and collaborate with other institutions in the implementation and promotion of ecological workshops. The paper will include an overview of the most prominent activities that try to sensitize library users to a conscientious attitude towards the environment in everyday life. Activities are carried out by library staff in cooperation with associations, schools and kindergartens. The paper will show the positive and educational effects of the workshops, their importance for the library and its community.
